August Meeting Highlights

There were 20 members present for what turned out to be a very spirited meeting with 4 door prizes of various spirits donated by John Beam.

Virgil Prodigalidad & Lawrence Barnes were drawn for the $25 each door prize, however, they weren’t at the meeting so it goes back to the coffers for next months drawing.

A reminder to all that 2014 is the Posts 75th anniversary and suggestions were tossed around as to how to celebrate it. More on that next month.

We added 34 more engraved Veterans bricks at Veterans Park, bringing our total engraved bricks there to 874.

We have 2 Life Scouts who are going to be doing their Eagle projects at Veterans Park; One will be repainting all the white walls & the other a monument to honor the Korean War Veterans.

This past month we also awarded our 57th Patriotic Citizen award to a Lynnwood business, Mr. Kleen Car Wash.

A reminder that we are still looking for new members to join the Post so if you know any combat Veterans, let’s get them signed up before the dues increase goes through on January 1st.

Next months meeting will be September 5th @ 7 PM.  Hope you can make it.
