From the Commander’s Desk

Our Post passed the District inspection this evening with flying colors.
Our VFW National Outstanding Community Award sign is now installed on 164th Street SW & 44th Av W  just before the City of Lynnwood sign.
Still need a few volunteers for our Poppy Drive at Lynnwoods Fred Meyers, November 9-10 & 11. Email me if you can spare a few hours to help out the Post. All volunteers will be in a specila upcoming drawing for a prize.
Don’t forget Bill Millers funeral at the GAR cemetary. 8601 River View Road in Snohomish at 10 AM on Saturday, November 3rd. We will miss Bill, he was a good comrade & hard worker for the Post.
our Veterans Day ceremony will be at Lynnwood Veterans Park on Sunday, November 11 @ 11 AM. Lets be sure and have a big turnout to honor your service to America.
Richard Larabee & Edgar Overvold names were drawn for the 2 $25 door prizes but lost out since they weren’t present at the meeting. Brian Seguin was a winner of the other door prize drawing and picked out an engraved brick for Veterans Park, which he donated to member Richard Larsen.
Next months meeting on December 6th will be to package boxes of goods for our Troops in Afghanistan so please bring coffee, tea, cocoa or candy.
